Abstract: This paper examined the theology of marriage in Genesis 2 and how it impacts premarital counselling within the Christian ideology, through biblical principles for marital harmony. Using a theological and doctrinal dimension, the paper analysed Genesis 2 narrative and its relevance to modern Christian marriage. It also reviewed existing literature, scriptural interpretations, and current views on premarital counselling. The study revealed that Genesis 2 presented marriage as a divine institution, which was instituted by God for man companionship, procreation, and spiritual fulfilment. It further emphasized that marriage should be between a man and a woman (heterosexual) and should be monogamous, not polygamous. It also suggested that God's will for humanity is to form unions through marriage to prevent loneliness. In addition, premarital counselling, that is rooted in these biblical principles, empowers couples with communication skills, emotional and spiritual readiness, and conflict resolution strategies, which contribute to the stability and success of Christian marriages. Premarital counselling that is based on Genesis 2 can also address common misconceptions, such as the importance of marriage preparation, thereby providing a framework for understanding marriage as a sacred, lifelong commitment. It was concluded that the implications for premarital counselling derived from Genesis 2 are important for guiding couples toward building a God-centred marriage. The findings recommended that pastors and counsellors should uphold biblical teachings as foundational in their guidance, to ensure a healthier, and more enduring marriages within the Christian household. charts and complicated equations.

Abstract: This study was carried out to synthesize existing
result under characterization of idempotent elements in the variant of a finite
full transformation semigroup. And as a consequence of the previous results, now
the study aim to add to the work done “ a study of idempotent elements in a
variant of finite partial transformation semigroup” with the goal of determining
the behavior, the properties and the relations between the elements of the two
semigroups and further address the gaps with the recommendation established
earlier. This study reveals novel insights into the Characterization of

Abstract: This descriptive analysis examines socio-economic,
psychological and governance aspects that contribute to insurgency and ransom in
Anambra State, Nigeria. Armed violence, teenage cultism and abduction are rising
in Anambra, once one of the Southeast's safest states. Mixing quantitative and
qualitative methods, the research collected data from a varied range of
respondents from different backgrounds. To explore the causes, community
experiences, government interventions and long-term remedies, a descriptive
research was conducted. Fieldwork was done in rural Orumba, Aguata, Ihiala and
Anambra South and high-risk districts along the Enugu-Onitsha motorway.
High-risk
areas for highway assaults and ransomware were chosen. A stratified and
purposeful
random sample of 150 people was taken from one impacted community. Thirty
community leaders, forty security force personnel, forty citizens and company
owners, twenty civil society representatives and twenty kidnapped or affected
women were sampled. An organised questionnaire was the main data collection
tool.
This questionnaire was evaluated by two Nnamdi Azikiwe University Criminology
and
Security Studies experts. In the nearby state of Enugu, a pilot study had a
Cronbach's Alpha of 0.84, indicating strong reliability. Data was collected by
qualified field assistants and analysed using descriptive statistics like
frequency tables, mean scores and standard deviations. Participants provided
data
in-person and online. Data shows that poverty, unemployment and political
marginalisation are the main vulnerability factors. Youth gangs, ineffective
border control and security agency miscommunication worsen the problem. The
respondents found that kidnapping disrupts economic activity, affects victims'
families financially and causes long-term psychological distress. Local
vigilante
groups and monitoring technologies are becoming effective mitigation techniques.
To restore peace and stability in Anambra State and beyond, the study suggests
competent governance, anti-corruption efforts, youth empowerment and
surveillance
infrastructure investment.

Abstract: The study investigated the impact of record keeping
on
the administration of public secondary schools in Benue South Senatorial
District,
Nigeria. Two research questions guided the study and two hypotheses were tested.
The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population comprised
768
teachers from 101 public secondary schools. A sample of 300 respondents
representing 39% of the population for the study from 20 schools representing
20%
of the schools was selected using simple random sampling technique. Record
keeping
and School Administration Questionnaire (RKSAQ) was used for data collection. It
was validated by three research experts and the reliability was determined using
Cronbach Alpha statistics. The result of the reliability was 0.91. Mean Scores
and
Standard Deviations was to answer the research questions. Analysis of Variance
(ANOVA) was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The
findings of the study showed that keeping of historical and academic records has
significant positive impact on the administration of public secondary schools.
It
was concluded that proper keeping of records would enhance administration of
public secondary schools. It was recommended that public secondary schools
principals in Nigeria should ensure regular keeping of historical and academic
records. This could enhance administration of public secondary schools in
Nigeria.

Abstract: This study was carried out to assess secondary
school
teachers’ perception towards using learning management system in Oyo State. The
survey research design was used. The population for this study consisted of 15,
705 registered teachers. The sample of the study were 1,400 respondents.
Multi-stage sampling procedure was used to select the sample. The instrument for
data collection was an adapted questionnaire from Olorunmonu (2024). The
instrument was validated and tested for reliability using Cronbach’s alpha which
yielded 0.85. Mean, percentage, ANOVA, t-test, Pearson Product Moment
Correlation,
(PPMC) were used to answer research questions and test hypotheses at 0.05 level
of
significance respectively. The results of the findings indicated that teachers
have positive perceptions towards the use of LMS with (2.95); there were no
significant difference in teachers’ perception of LMS use based on educational
qualification and gender; there was significant difference in teachers’
perception
of LMS use based on work experience; (t=4.631, P=0.003 P ˂ 0.05); and there was
significant relationship of institutional support and teachers’ perception of
LMS
use; (t=0.142, P= .001 P ˂ 0.05;) . It was recommended that secondary school
teachers in Oyo State be encouraged to undergo courses on making use of LMS to
enhance efficient teaching and effective learning..

Abstract: Scholars of electoral studies and democratisation
are
becoming more interested in the topic of courts' involvement in the Nigerian
political system. Pre-election lawsuits involving intra-party disputes appear to
have become a major focus of the nation's electoral process, particularly since
the present democratic regime was established in 1999. This paper examined party
politics and pre-election litigations in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic using the
Supreme Court's rulings in pre-election cases involving All Progressives
Congress
(APC) members in Zamfara State as a case study. The study's methodology was
qualitative as it relied on secondary sources, while the method of data analysis
was thematic analysis. Theoretically, this study adopted the postulations of
Pareto, Michels and Mosca's elite theory as a theoretical foundation. Among
other
things, the study found that the political fallout from Zamfara State's APC
candidate selection process had a detrimental impact on participation,
representation, competition, and responsiveness. Zamfara State's pre-election
lawsuit conflicts, as well as Nigeria's pre-election litigation laws generally,
have sparked a number of worries about the nation's electoral process and,
inevitably, the stability and consolidation of its democracy. This paper
therefore
concluded that pre-election litigations have had deleterious impact on the
electoral process of Nigeria and could have been avoided if political parties
are
allowed to resolve intra-party disputes by themselves or in conjunction with
INEC.
The study recommended among other things that party discipline should be strict
for all members in the parties irrespective of whose ox is gored. In this
regard,
the leadership of the parties should be answerable to the members and members,
in
turn, will be required to respect and obey the leadership.

Abstract: This paper centred on the role of pastoral care in
supporting individuals struggling with nicotine addiction. The objectives that
guided this study are to discuss factors influencing nicotine addiction, effects
of nicotine addiction, the role of pastoral care in addition support and
challenges facing pastoral care in nicotine addiction recovery. The methodology
adopted for this paper is secondary research as it gathered data from existing
studies. The theory adopted is biopsychosocial model formulated by Engel (1977).
Factors identified to be influencing nicotine addiction are genetic,
parents/peers, depression/other mental illness among others. The identified
effects are dizziness, sleep disturbances, change in blood flow, headache,
increased risk of blood clotting and some other psychosocial effects. The
pastoral
care role identified includes spiritual counselling and guidance, payer and
worship as tool for recovery, community and accountability, crisis intervention
and relapse prevention. Playing these roles, pastoral care giver faces
challenges
which bothers on psychological, spiritual, social and religious in nature. For
effective pastoral care rendering, the paper came up with effective referral
system, creation of Nicotine Anonymous community and rehabilitation centres
among
other recommendations.

Abstract: This study investigated the relationship between
parental support, peer learning, and academic adjustment among undergraduates of
Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. Two research
questions guided the study, and two hypotheses were formulated and tested at r =
0.01 level of significance. The population of the study comprised 30,000
undergraduates across eight faculties and 47 departments at Moses Orshio Adasu
University, Makurdi using Glenn (2012) formula for sample size determination,
through multi-staged sampling. Data were collected using a combination of three
instruments: a self-developed Parental Support Questionnaire (SEQ), Peer
Learning
Questionnaire (AQ), and Academic Adjustment Questionnaire (AAQ). The instruments
were validated by two experts. Data were analyzed using the Product-Moment
Correlation Coefficient (PPMC). The results revealed that both parental support
and peer learning have a positive relationship with academic adjustment among
undergraduates of the university. It was concluded that there is a significant
positive relationship between parental support and peer learning and academic
adjustment. It was recommended that university administrators and teachers
should
foster a positive environment and atmosphere that discourages bullying and
discrimination, encourages peer support, and promote mutual respect among
students
and staff and researchers should conduct longitudinal and intervention-based
studies to better understand the causes of low psycho-social adjustment and
assess
the long-term impact of various school and family-based interventions.

Abstract: In the context of 21st-century Nigeria, the role of
multicultural education in advancing sustainable development is more vital than
ever. This article explored the philosophical underpinnings that guide
multicultural education and its potential to contribute to sustainable
development. It examined how concepts of equality, justice, pluralism, and
social
cohesion—derived from philosophical traditions—are essential in shaping an
education system that can accommodate the nation's diverse cultures while
promoting inclusive growth and development. A qualitative research method was
employed using document analysis and philosophical inquiry to interrogate
existing
literature, educational policies, and multicultural practices within Nigeria.
The
findings revealed that embracing multicultural education grounded in
philosophical
reflection enhances national integration, ethical citizenship, and respect for
diversity. The paper concluded that without a strong philosophical base,
multicultural education in Nigeria risks becoming fragmented and ineffective in
addressing developmental challenges. It recommends the deliberate integration of
indigenous and global philosophical values into curriculum reforms, teacher
training, and educational policy to create a balanced multicultural education
framework that supports peace, equity, and sustainability.

Abstract: The research on higher education generally agrees
that
inclusive and equitable teaching and learning strategies are necessary. The
concept of inclusiveness seems to be overlooked in the context of Electronic
Work
Integrated Learning (eWIL). This research proposes a framework for the creation
of
a eWIL curriculum by utilizing insights from multidisciplinary theories. Among
its
salient characteristics are a purposeful, inclusive strategy that unifies the
teaching method (the "how") and content field (the "what") of
technology-assisted
delivery or teaching. Anticipating and adapting to the varied backgrounds,
skills,
goals, and requirements of students and principal partners the academics and
employers are the framework's main concerns. The results of both "hard" and
"soft"
outcomes like student employability and involvement or inclusion in the actual
job
while still on training are part of the curriculum. The framework identifies
specific challenges that students have when engaging in electronically mediated
activities and learning. Employers may also face difficulties as they develop
new
strategies for operating in a digitized workplace. A solution is proposed in
anticipation of certain conflicts in putting the envisaged eWIL curriculum into
effect. All things considered, the eWIL framework provides a comprehensive
strategy for the active discussion, execution, and assessment of eWIL
initiatives.
This is an important topic to think about now that remote employment and online
learning have become so prevalent during and after COVID-19.

Abstract: Reliance on the traditional teaching and learning
practices by most Higher Education Institutions in Nigeria, especially in the
areas of language, arts and humanities, constitute an obstacle to the attainment
of the objectives of the institutions. This practice is not only time consuming,
slow in yielding desired results, but also very expensive as much money is
required in buying learning resources. The emergence of artificial intelligence
might have brought succor to both teachers and learners in this regard. Relying
on
the versatility and capability of AI therefore, this paper explores the use of
AI
in facilitating Language Education in Higher Education Institutions in Nigeria.
The methodology that the paper adopts is the exploration of the literature. The
unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) is used to underpin
the
study. The paper finds that AI can facilitate Language Education in the areas of
speaking and reading, writing and grammatical constructions, and pedagogy. The
paper also found some associated challenges to include AI biases, black box
problem, legal concerns, negative perceptions, and tool for disinformation among
others. The paper concludes that the adoption of AI in language education is one
good decision that can reshape the future of the discipline and recommends among
others, the need for guardrails to ensure the appropriate use and implementation
of AI across the society, specifically in language education.

Abstract: ThisThis study investigated the impact of Social
Studies education on voters’ awareness and the reduction of electoral
malpractices in Taraba State, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey
research design and focused on a population of 1,935 public secondary school
teachers and administrators. A sample size of 350 respondents, comprising 300
teachers and 50 administrators, was selected using a multistage sampling
technique. A structured questionnaire served as the primary instrument for data
collection. The instrument was validated by experts and subjected to a
reliability test, yielding a coefficient of 0.85. Data were analyzed using
descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviations, while chi-square
was used to test the hypotheses at a 0.05 significance level. Findings revealed
that Social Studies education significantly enhances voters’ awareness and plays
a crucial role in reducing electoral malpractices. The results showed strong
agreement among respondents on the role of Social Studies in promoting civic
knowledge, ethical voting behavior, and rejection of electoral misconduct. Based
on the findings, it was recommended that Social Studies be strengthened in
school curricula and that civic and electoral values be emphasized in classroom
teaching. The study concluded that Social Studies education is a vital tool for
nurturing informed and responsible citizens, thereby contributing to credible
electoral processes and democratic development in Nigeria.

Abstract: TheThe Niger Delta region of Nigeria, historically
dependent on oil and gas revenues, is facing a critical juncture in its energy
and economic trajectory. The global push for decarbonization, alongside local
demands for environmental justice, necessitates a transition from the existing
petro-economy toward a more equitable, decentralized, and sustainable energy
system. This paper explores the implications, opportunities, and challenges of
transitioning to decentralized energy systems within the urban Niger Delta,
emphasizing regulatory reforms and community equity. Drawing on a
multi-disciplinary literature base, including policy reviews, case studies of
solar microgrids, and socioeconomic analyses of mini-grid impacts, the study
critically evaluates how distributed renewable technologies—such as solar PV and
hybrid systems—can address energy poverty, reduce carbon footprints, and drive
local content development. It highlights the role of the Nigerian Electricity
Regulatory Commission (NERC), evolving federal energy laws, and state-level
energy autonomy in enabling or hindering reform. Special attention is paid to
the environmental degradation caused by oil extraction, the socioeconomic
disparities embedded in the region, and the potential for green growth through
job creation and inclusive planning. The paper also incorporates voices from
local communities to center justice, ownership, and empowerment in the
transition. This research underscores the need for coherent policy alignment,
robust regulatory frameworks, and community-centered approaches to facilitate a
just transition from extractive to regenerative energy systems in the Niger
Delta.

Abstract: The study investigated impact of counselling
approaches on skill acquisition of secondary school adolescents in Makurdi Local
Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. Three research questions and three
hypotheses guided the study. Descriptive survey design was employed. Population
of the study was 7,854 students from 22 Government Grant-Aided secondary schools
in Makurdi Local Government Area. A sample size of 200 students was used for the
study. The data were collected through researchers-structured questionnaire
titled' Counselling Approaches and Skill Acquisition Questionnaire' (CASAQ). The
reliability co-efficient of .87 was obtained. Mean and standard deviation were
utilized to answer the research questions, while chi-square statistics was
employed to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Findings showed
that Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Solution-Focused
Brief Therapy has significant impact on skill acquisition of secondary school
adolescents in Makurdi Local Government Area. The study concluded that
counselling approaches has impact among secondary school adolescents in Makurdi
Local Government of Benue State. It was recommended that teachers and
counsellors should work with students to set specific, achievable academic goals
(e.g., improving in a particular subject) using CBT’s goal-oriented framework,
counsellors should use PCT techniques in one-on-one sessions, actively listening
and reflecting students’ feelings to build psychological safety and teachers and
counsellors should work together to integrate these therapeutic approaches into
both classroom and counseling settings, ensuring consistency in supporting
students’ skill acquisition.

Abstract: This study assessed the application of renewable
energy technology in colleges of education as a means to foster sustainable
national development and community empowerment in North Central Nigeria. A
descriptive survey research design was employed, involving all academic staff of
Technical Education departments in seven selected colleges across the six states
in the region and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. A census sampling
technique was used to include the entire population of 115 academic staff due to
its manageable size. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based
on a four-point rating scale and analyzed using mean scores and chi-square
statistics. The findings revealed a moderate yet positive level of adoption of
renewable energy technologies, notably solar panels, across the colleges, with
respondents confirming visible efforts toward clean energy utilization and
increased awareness among staff and students. However, the study also identified
critical challenges hampering full implementation, including inadequate funding,
limited technical expertise, policy-related issues and infrastructure vandalism.
Despite these constraints, the integration of renewable energy was shown to
significantly contribute to local employment, inspire community-level adoption,
strengthen institutional collaboration with local communities and align with
national sustainable development goals. Hypotheses testing revealed
statistically significant results supporting the assertions of adoption levels,
implementation challenges and the impact of renewable energy on sustainable
development. The study concluded that renewable energy technology has a pivotal
role to play in driving institutional sustainability and community empowerment
and recommended strategic investments, capacity building and supportive policy
frameworks to enhance its adoption.

Abstract: This study was carried out to examine effects of
concept mapping on senior secondary students’ achievement in argumentative
composition in Pankshin Local Government Area, Plateau State, Nigeria. The study
utilized the quasi-experimental research design. The population of the study
consisted of all the SS II students in Pankshin Local Government Area. A sample
of 62 SSII students was selected and assigned to the experimental (concept
mapping) and control (conventional) groups using purposive sampling technique.
Four research questions and four corresponding null hypotheses guided the study.
Data were collected using a test tagged Composition Writing Achievement Test
(CWAT), while English Lesson Plans for Teaching Writing aided the treatment.
Data collected were analysed using mean and standard deviation to answer the
research questions and t-test to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of
significance. The findings indicate that students exposed to concept mapping
achieved higher in generating ideas, constructing sentences, paragraphing, and
punctuation. The study concludes that concept mapping has positive effects on
students' achievement in composition writing and recommends incorporating
concept mapping in teaching techniques, providing resources and support to
teachers, and conducting regular assessments to evaluate effectiveness. Based on
the findings of the study, it was recommended among other things that teachers
of English should model concept mapping for writing to students.

Abstract: French language is an international and official
language of francophone countries learnt to improve communication with other
non-francophone countries. However, learners often struggle with aspects of
spoken fluency, especially sociophonetic features like liaison. One critical gap
is the lack of attention to variable liaison—a phonetic feature that functions
both linguistically and socially in French. The disconnect between learners’
production and listeners’ perception of socially marked features like liaison
poses challenges for effective communication. This study adopted a phenomenology
design. A sample of ten participants was purposively selected from Odeda Local
Government Area. Using French Liaison Interview Guide (FLIG) which was validated
using participant check procedure and audio recording, data were collected and
analyzed using thematic analysis. Results showed that people perceived Nigerian
learners to have wrong Pronunciation pattern, wrong pronunciation of silent
consonants and liaison, phonological interference of local dialects and English.
Francophone indigenes view Nigerian Learners to have wrong application of
liaison, perceived them as beginners in French language and reveals that their
usage of French liaison reflects their background. There is a huge difference on
alphabet pronunciation, lexical and pragmatic usage, sociolinguistic implication
when Nigerian Learners and francophone indigenes are compared. Finally, the
challenges of using of French liaison are sounds and pronunciation uniqueness,
lack of confidence, poor authentic language exposure, poor phonetic training and
teacher proficiency, sociolinguistic unawareness. Recommendations include
practical, engaging, and sustainable solutions. With consistent practice,
exposure, and encouragement, learners can develop more accurate, fluent, and
confident spoken French.

Abstract: This paper analyses key theoretical and empirical
debates that seek to clarify the scope to which inflation and unemployment can
be treated as monetary phenomena. They continue to be of central concern in
macroeconomic discourse, as scholars argued what induces these two important
complications for the economy, given that monetary explanations have always been
common and remain to be of great consideration to the economic policy makers.
This study integrates the empirical evidence which accompanies the various
strands of economic thought, as well as those traditionally considered classic
and monetarist, also, with New Keynesian and Rational Expectations models, in
order to explain the ways monetary impacts, interact with the real economy. It
is true that monetary factors elucidate inflation and have a significant, often
dominant role, specifically in the long run. Their relation with unemployment,
though, is more intricate, as theory and evidence propose a short run trade-off
but limited long run effect, mostly under rational expectations. The results
reinforce the central bank's dominating actions to attain price stability,
nevertheless also demonstrate the severe bounds of what can be done with
monetary policy to reduce unemployment and highlight the natural rate of
unemployment feature.

Abstract: This study investigated the Impact of Adaptive
Learning on Senior Secondary II Chemistry Students’ Achievement and Retention in
Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria. The study used Lev
Vygotsky’s Constructivist Theory (1978) as theoretical framework. The study was
guided by four specific objectives. Corresponding research questions and
hypotheses were formulated to address these objectives. The study used
quasi-experimental research design. The total population of the study comprised
1,200 SS2 Chemistry students drawn from 15 public secondary schools in Jos East.
A sample size of 120 students was purposively selected from two comparable
public schools—Experimental School, which received the adaptive learning
intervention, and Control School, which continued with the lecture method.
Pre-test, post-test, and retention test instruments were used to collect
quantitative data on student performance. The mean score was used to answer the
research questions while the ANCOVA was employed to test the hypotheses. The
findings revealed that students taught using adaptive learning strategies
significantly outperformed those taught using the traditional lecture method in
both academic achievement and knowledge retention. Furthermore, no significant
gender differences were observed in the achievement scores of students exposed
to adaptive learning, indicating its effectiveness across both male and female
students. Also, the study found meaningful differences in performance between
the two schools, highlighting the role of instructional methods in shaping
learning outcomes. In conclusion, this study provides evidence for the
integration of adaptive learning techniques into the secondary school chemistry
curriculum. It recommends policy support for digital learning innovations and
teacher training to enhance adaptive instructional delivery.

Abstract: Social Entrepreneurship which is the fusion of
social impact and entrepreneurial innovation, has emerged as a pivotal strategy
in Nigeria to address pressing social challenges. This approach leveraged
business models to create sustainable solutions that benefit communities while
remaining financially viable. This paper investigated the role expected of
social entrepreneurship as measures for addressing social and economic
challenges in enhancing socioeconomic transformation and sustainable development
in Nigeria. Sociopreneurship thrives in an enabling environment where favourable
policies, access to resources, and collaborative networks foster innovation and
sustainable social impact. The findings showed that there is a rising number of
young Nigerians engaging in social entrepreneurship ventures, particularly in
agriculture, waste recycling, fintech, education, and health. It was concluded
that, unless there were deliberate attempts by government to creating an
enabling environment for smooth and successful engagements and collaborations
with the social entrepreneurs to meeting both rural and urban socioeconomic
needs; all efforts and governmental strides to ensuring speedy transformation
and sustainable development would remain slow and unattainable.

Abstract: The study investigated mentoring as a correlate of
academic growth in colleges of education in south-south, Nigeria, two research
questions and two hypotheses guided the study which adopted correlation design.
The population, 10038 staffers. The sample comprised 120 staffers. Multistage
sampling procedure was adopted. Data were gathered using Staffers Mentoring
Questioning (SMQ)’ and Academic Growth Scale (AGS) their reliability indices
were 0.71, and 0.79 obtained using Cronbach Alpha method. Pearson moment
correlation was used to answer the research questions while Regression ANOVA was
used to test the hypotheses at .05 level of significant The study's results,
among other things, demonstrated that staffers academic growth in colleges of
education is determined by role playing mentoring (31.4%), found significant
(p>0.05) determinant of staffers academic growth, it also showed that staffers
academic growth is correlated between error prevention during mentoring and
academic growth (21.0%), found to be significantly correlated between error
prevention in mentoring and staffers mentoring and academic growth. It was
recommended that colleges of Education in South-South, Nigeria should
institutionalized mentoring, so that inexperienced academics could avoid Pitfall
in the discharge of their academic responsibilities. This study advises that
further research on this topic should be carried out in other geopolitical zones
of Nigeria. Mentoring should be practiced by Colleges of Education in
South-South, Nigeria in particular and all other colleges of Education in
Nigeria.

Abstract: This study examined the social and personal
development outcomes of entrepreneurship skill-acquisition programmes among
youths in Southern Senatorial District, Taraba State, Nigeria. A descriptive
survey design was employed, and data were collected from 384 respondents across
Donga, Takum, and Wukari Local Government Areas using a structured
questionnaire. Responses were analysed using mean and standard deviation. The
findings revealed that entrepreneurship training improved participants’
interpersonal communication, leadership abilities, and civic engagement, while
also fostering personal outcomes such as confidence, motivation, goal-setting,
and emotional resilience. These results supported Empowerment Theory by showing
that youth entrepreneurship interventions contributed not only to technical
competence but also to psychological and social transformation. The study
concluded that entrepreneurship programmes should be designed to integrate
mentorship, soft-skill development, and reflective practices to maximise their
developmental impact on young people.

Abstract: The study investigated self-reliant skills in
sciences and home economics undergraduate programmes and relevance to Nigeria
world of work needs. The study adopted survey research design. The study
population comprised of Science and Home-Economics undergraduates and graduates
of tertiary institutions in Lagos State. A total of twenty Science and Home
Economics respondents from the tertiary institutions located in Lagos state in
three randomly selected tertiary institutions in the state, While samples of
forty working graduates from Lagos state were randomly selected from civil
service, secondary schools, five stars hotels and self-employed graduates
constituted the sample for the study. Two instruments were used to collect data
for the study. The first instrument is Undergraduate Questionnaire (UQ) and. The
second instrument is Graduate Questionnaire (GQ). The data collected were
analysed using t-test and Chi square). The findings indicated that the tc = 2.82
> tt =1.66 at df = 2 significant, Therefore there was no significant
relationship i.e. the students preferred applied science courses Hence the
hypothesis was rejected. The second hypothesis results indicated that the
X2Cal=17.82> X2Tab =7.82 at df=3, This revealed that science graduates are not
likely to secure government jobs even if they study education while Home
Economics graduates utilized the skills acquired to be employer of labour, hence
the hypothesis was rejected. Based on the findings it was recommended that
tertiary institutions curriculum should be revisited to contain self-reliant
contents, so that graduates of tertiary institutions are employable. Finally it
was further solicited for adequate training for lecturer both locally and
internationally.

Abstract: The church's theological and doctrinal position
is changing significantly in the
twenty-first century, becoming more and more in line with the dominant global
order. The adoption of secular
ideology, materialism, and a diluted message that puts comfort over conviction
are all signs of this departure
from the true gospel. Instead of emphasizing repentance, holiness, and the
gospel's transformative power,
many churches increasingly emphasize wealth, self-help, and inspirational
preaching. Biblical authority has
diminished, moral standards have been redefined, and core Christian beliefs have
been undermined as a result of
this conformity with the global system. Worship sessions are now more about
performance than spiritual
nourishment due to the impact of entertainment, technology, and modern culture.
Many church leaders compromise
on biblical truths in their pursuit of relevance, sacrificing doctrinal purity
in favor of inclusivity. The
central message of redemption in Christ alone has been further reduced by social
justice movements, political
correctness, and relativism. This essay investigates the causes of this
conformity, looking at how church
doctrines and practices have been impacted by consumerism, digital media, and
cultural changes. It draws
attention to the perils of this sway and stresses the necessity of restoring
biblical authenticity. The report
urges the church to withstand the temptation to conform to the global system and
advocates for a renewed
dedication to biblical truth. The church can only continue to remain the body of
Christ and be a lighthouse in a
world that is becoming more and more secular by preserving the real message.

Abstract: Decency and morality are foundational principles
guiding
human behaviour and social interaction. In recent times, these values face
increasing threats from the pervasive influence of media and mentorship, both of
which have become significant forces in shaping youth behaviour. This study
examines
the negative impact of music, films, print media, peer influence, and mentorship
on
the morality of youths, highlighting their contributions to moral decline and
weakened social cohesion. Anchored on Albert Bandura’s Social Learning Theory
(1977)
and Gerbner and Gross’s Cultivation Theory (1976), the research explains how
repeated exposure to immoral behaviours in media and negative mentorship fosters
imitation, desensitisation, and distorted moral perceptions among young people.
The
study reveal that modern music and movies often glorify violence, sexual
immorality,
and substance abuse, while sensational journalism, erotic print media, and
advertising normalize obscenity and materialism. Social media amplifies peer
pressure, reinforcing unrealistic lifestyles and promoting conformity to
indecency.
Similarly, unethical mentorship, particularly from celebrities and influencers,
sustains cycles of moral decay by presenting questionable behaviours as
aspirational. These influences collectively contribute to societal challenges,
including family disintegration, crime, drug abuse, toxic relationships, and the
erosion of cultural and religious values. The study concludes that urgent
interventions are necessary to address moral decline in contemporary society. Key
recommendations include introducing comprehensive media literacy programs in
schools, promoting positive role models, strengthening community-driven
initiatives,
and formulating research-based media content policies. Strong family and
educational
guidance, these strategies are crucial for cultivating ethical behaviour,
fostering
resilience against harmful influences, and sustaining a morally grounded society.

Abstract: This paper explores the inconsistencies between
traditional cultural beliefs and Western parenting techniques in the African-Igbo
context within a globalized society. Anchored in Social Learning Theory, the study
underscores how Igbo parenting has historically emphasized discipline, communal

cultural conflict when these approaches intersect. Using a survey design and NVivo
analysis of responses from 264 Igbo parents and young adults, the study examines
perceptions of traditional values, challenges in adapting to Western customs, and
the extent of integration between the two. Findings reveal that while the majority
of parents strongly value traditional teachings (coded under the “Cultural
Anchoring” node), they also acknowledge significant tensions when these practices
are compared with modern methods. Although many respondents expressed confusion
about Western approaches, the greatest difficulty identified was balancing both
systems. Partial blending of traditional and modern practices is evident, but
complete integration remains contested. The research suggests that Igbo parenting
represents a stage of cultural negotiation, with tradition acting as the anchor
while modern influences remain unavoidable. The study highlights implications for
education, discipline, and cultural identity, while recommending cultural
education programs, parent workshops, intergenerational dialogue, community
support networks, and policy advocacy to preserve heritage and equip children for
life in multicultural settings.

Abstract: Pornography is now more widely available than ever
because to the development of digital technology and the anonymity of the
internet, which has raised questions about its effects on the stability of
marriages. This study explores pornography's negative impacts on marital
intimacy, trust, and long-term satisfaction, despite the claim made by some that
it can promote sexual exploration. The study, which is based on psychological,
social, and theological viewpoints, investigates how regular exposure to
pornography changes intimacy expectations, encourages secrecy, and lengthens
emotional distance. The main research issues include how marital intimacy is
impacted by pornography, the psychological effects on spouses, the long-term
effects on stability and faithfulness, and mitigating techniques. The
psychological, emotional, and relational effects were analyzed using a hsurvey
research method that drew from theoretical frameworks, empirical research, and
real-world observations. According to research, using pornography can mimic
addictive behaviors, skew perceptions of closeness, and impair communication,
which can result in mistrust, arguments, and infidelity or divorce in some
situations. Family dynamics are also affected socially, since children raised in
these homes feel insecure and have skewed perspectives on relationships. The
ethical problems with pornography, such as objectification, exploitation, and
the degradation of marital sanctity, are further highlighted by moral and
religious viewpoints. According to the study's findings, pornography poses a
complex threat to marriage and calls for social, relational, and personal
responses. Stronger regulations to encourage the creation of moral content and
safeguard families are advised, as are open communication between spouses,
digital accountability tools, professional and religious therapy, and
educational awareness campaigns. By tackling this problem together, couples can
protect their relationships' stability in a changing digital world, maintain
trust, and foster emotional connection.

Abstract: This study analyses the linguistic expression of
cognitive distortions and cognitive restructuring in Nigerian online mental
health talk. The study hinges on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy theory (CBT) and is analysed through discourse analysis. The research
is influenced by the rising prevalence of depression and anxiety in Nigeria,
where stigma many a times silence open discussions about mental health issues.
Thus digital medium like podcasts have now emerged as alternatives spots where
individuals talk about mental health struggles. Studied have shown that while
CBT has traditionally been applied in clinical contexts to address issues
around depression and anxiety, little research have examined how the
principles of CBT is used in everyday language. To address this gap, this
research examine a Nigerian online podcast narrative about depression and
anxiety. It adopts a qualitative research design that employs thematic coding
to identify instances of cognitive distortions and restructuring. The analysis
identifies major cognitive distortions such as catastrophising,
personalisation, overgeneralisation, and blaming. These cognitions are marked
through absolutist language use and evaluative expressions. In addition, the
analysis further points out processes of cognitive restructuring, in which the
narrator reexamine their experiences, challenge negative self-beliefs, and
adopt more balanced perspectives in their journey towards recovery. The
findings of the study reveal how discourse not only reflects human
psychological states but also contributes to how these emotive states are
controlled Further, it agrees that podcasts may function as an informal
therapeutic space where people are able to externalise mental health distress,
negotiate meaning, and engage in self-reflection through story telling. On
this account, through clinical psychology and discourse studies, the research
promotes understanding of mental health discourse in Nigerian digital spaces
and promotes the ever changing role of language in today’s world.

Abstract: This study was motivated by the imperative to
enhance financial transparency and stability within Nigeria's critical
insurance sector. Its primary objective was to evaluate board independence,
audit committee expertise, and ownership structure on earnings management.
Employed an ex-post facto research design, the study analysed secondary
panel data collected from the annual reports of 34 Nigerian insurance
companies (selected from a population of 67) spanning the years 2015 to
2024.Using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, the findings were mixed:
Board independence (β=−0.074, p=0.25) and audit committee expertise
(β=−0.019, p=0.75) were found to have no statistically significant impact on
earnings management. However, ownership concentration (β=+0.045, p=0.041)
showed a significant and positive relationship with an increase in earnings
manipulation. The regression models were statistically robust, evidenced by
high adjusted R² values (0.865 for discretionary accruals and 0.945 for real
earnings management). This suggests a notable gap between formal corporate
governance structures and actual oversight, implying that dominant
shareholders may prioritize short-term gains. Consequently, the study
recommended improving accountability by enhancing legal protections for
independent directors, increasing ownership transparency, and strengthening
regulatory oversight.

Abstract: This study assessed the adoption of
Climate
Smart Agricultural (CSA) practices among rural cassava farmers in
Benue
State, Nigeria. The population comprised all rural cassava farmers in
Benue
State. A sample size of 175 respondents was selected using a
multi-stage
selection technique comprising purposive, stratified, and simple
random
sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires. Data
were
analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings
revealed
a balanced gender distribution, with women slightly outnumbering men
(50.3%). The mean age of respondents was 28.4 years. Most farmers were
married (49.7%), had small household sizes 4.8 persons and operated on
modest farm holdings (mean farm size 2.2 hectares). Educational
attainment
was modest with 61.1% having secondary education, while Annual income
levels
were modest, with 41.1% earning between ₦100,000 and ₦300,000.
Adoption of
CSAPs varied significantly, improved cassava varieties were
universally
adopted (100%), followed by water conservation techniques (91.4%),
organic
fertilizer use (78.9%), crop rotation (65.7%), and agroforestry
(54.3%).
Farmers perceived CSAPs as beneficial, with increased yield (x̄ =
3.20),
enhanced food security (x̄ = 3.00), and income growth (x̄ = 2.80)
rated as
the top advantages. The study concludes that cassava farmers in Benue
State
are increasingly engaging with CSA practices, offering a pathway to
sustainable agricultural development. Despite these benefits, adoption
was
hindered by several constraints like financial constraints adequate
access
to inputs poor extension services and cultural resistance to change.
The
study recommends targeted input subsidies, strengthened extension
systems,
and culturally sensitive awareness campaigns to improve CSAP uptake
and
foster sustainable cassava production in the State.

Abstract: This study probed the ideological
biases rooted in the reportage of Banditry and Kidnapping for
Ransom (BaKiR) in selected Nigerian online newspapers. This
research adopted van Dijk's socio-cognitive model of Critical
Discourse Analysis; the research showed how language and
discourse are used to generate reports about insecurity, state
actors, and non-state actors. Four online news reports published
in 2024 and 2025 were elicited in total: two each from The Daily
Trust (representing a Northern perspective) and The Nation
(representing a Southern perspective). The work examined the
different levels of discourse, such as lexical choices, sentence
structure, characterisation of state and non-state actors, how
headlines are outlined, thematic focus and the intertextual
allusions. These selected reports were chosen because they were
suitable for the thematic consideration, had startling
headlines, and focused on the dynamic security situation in
Nigeria. The research identified rhetorical patterns that
unveiled hidden ideological leanings ranging from state and
non-state legitimation to civic critique and emotive appeals.
The results showed that reporting of BaKiR is not politically
balanced but rather reflects profound editorial opinions,
political contexts, and socio-economic worldviews. It concluded
that online media platforms function as ideological
battlegrounds, framing insecurity in ways that either reinforce
or resist dominant narratives of power, responsibility, and
governance. The study recommended that interrogating media texts
as ideological artefacts is crucial.

Abstract: Groundwater serves as a vital
source of potable water in rural and peri-urban
communities across Nigeria, yet its quality is
increasingly compromised by anthropogenic activities. This
study investigates the synergistic effects of industrial
pollutants on groundwater quality in Umuabulu, Igbo-Etche,
Rivers State, within the hydrocarbon-rich Niger Delta.
Five geospatially distinct sites were sampled;
physicochemical, heavy metal and organic contaminant
concentrations were assessed in comparison with World
Health Organisation (WHO) standards. Results revealed
progressive deterioration in water quality along pollution
gradients. Physicochemical parameters, including
electrical conductivity (1240 ± 115 µS/cm), total
dissolved solids (622 ± 55 mg/L), turbidity (6.8 ± 0.9
NTU), biochemical oxygen demand (4.6 ± 0.6 mg/L) and
chemical oxygen demand (14.6 ± 1.3 mg/L), exceeded WHO
permissible limits in multiple sites. Heavy metals such as
lead (31.2 ± 2.6 µg/L), cadmium (6.2 ± 0.6 µg/L), chromium
(78.6 ± 6.8 µg/L) and iron (598 ± 52 µg/L) were also above
guideline values, alongside elevated organic contaminants
including total petroleum hydrocarbons and volatile
organic compounds. The observed interactions between heavy
metals and organic pollutants intensified aquifer
vulnerability, reduced dissolved oxygen levels and
increased risks of chronic toxicological exposure. These
findings highlight significant public health and
ecological risks in Umuabulu, underscoring the urgent need
for stricter regulatory enforcement, improved waste
management, and sustainable groundwater monitoring
strategies in oil-impacted communities.

Abstract: This study numerically investigates the
magneto hydrodynamics (MHD) flow in a vertical porous channel filled
with porous materials considering the joint influence of thermal
radiation, viscous dissipation and temperature dependent viscosity.
The governing equation are transformed in to dimensionless equation
then are solved numerically using Runge Kutta Order Four with
Shooting techniques by using MATLAB package. The effect of pertinent
parameters on flow characteristics, temperature distribution and
velocity profiles are analyzed. The results provide insights into
the complex interactions between magnetic fields, thermal radiation
and viscous dissipation in a porous media, with potential
applications in fields like geothermal energy, nuclear reactors and
thermal insulation. The findings highlight the significance of
considering temperature dependent viscosity and thermal radiation in
MHD flow through porous channels.

Abstract:The study investigates the mindfulness
and emotional intelligence as mediating factors of psychological
security among university students in Nigeria. The study was
guided with three research questions and hypotheses. The study
adopted a descriptive research design of correlation type. A total
of 306 University students were selected using purposive sampling

emotional intelligence and psychological security, which were
validated by two experts. The reliability of the instruments is
SMQ, EIQ and SPSQ has 0.72, 0.78 and 0.69 respectively. Multiple
Regression Analysis and Pearson Product Moment Statistic were used
to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings
showed that the level of the mindfulness, emotional intelligence
and psychological security were high among University students.
All independent variables jointly accounted for 63.6% variance in
predicting psychological security among University students in
Katsina state. Also, mindfulness (β = .771; p
<0.05) and emotional intelligence (β=.169; p<0.05) had relative contributions to
psychological security. Also, the findings showed that mindfulness (r=.781;
p<0.05) and emotional intelligence (r=.781; p<0.05) had significant relationship
to psychological security among University students in Katsina state. The study
recommended that there is need to improve students' awareness (mindfulness) and
emotional stability that can help with communication channels and strategic
alignment in psychological security.

Abstract:There is acute paradox in
petroleum-dependent economies as hydrocarbon rents are essential
to fiscal stability, and they increase vulnerability to climate
risks and distort sustainable development trajectories. To
investigate this paradox, this paper develops the Governance
Climate Renewables (GCR) model which aims to connect
environmental, social, and governance (ESG) adoption, quality of
governance, and climate responsibility in economies rich in
resources. Based on quantitative and qualitative data, the paper
combines a panel of 15 petroleum economies (2000-2023) and a
deeper case study of Nigeria. Three composite measures are
created, including: Petroleum Sector Sustainability Performance
(PSSP), ESG Adoption Index (ESGAI) and Climate Accountability
Score (CAS) that are validated by principal component analysis
and cross-source triangulation. The econometric analysis, which
is founded on fixed and random effects estimations show that
strong ESG adoption correlates with a strong increase in
governance and climate accountability, but that effects are
dampened by institutional weaknesses and regulatory capture. The
case study of Nigeria depicts these dynamics clearly which
emphasizes the disjointed remediation programs under the
Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP), laxity in
the implementation of disclosure policies and political
inhibition of reform. These findings are placed in the wider
context of debates on the resource curse, legitimacy theory, and
energy transition governance and provide new empirical findings
to ESG discussion. It is recommended to include ESG compliance
in petroleum contracts, strengthen regulatory autonomy, invest
more in renewables, and deal with institutional ties that hinder
reform. Finally, the research illustrates that the effective
institutionalization of the ESG can be a plausible way towards
sustainable resource management and climate resilience in a
fast-decarbonizing global economy.

Abstract:In Nigeria's creative economy, the
nexus of sustainable fashion entrepreneurship and artificial
intelligence (AI) offered a developing chance for youth
empowerment. However, little is known about how much AI
adoption affected young fashion designers' environmental
sustainability and entrepreneurial preparedness. This study
examined how the adoption of AI affected the entrepreneurial
growth of young people working in fashion design companies in
Lagos State, Nigeria, paying special attention to how AI
promoted environmentally friendly business practices. Through
stratified and purposive sampling, 150 respondents were chosen
from Lagos's fashion design hubs, innovation centres, and
vocational schools. Using a descriptive survey design,
information was gathered via questionnaires and interviews.
The tools evaluated AI integration, entrepreneurial readiness,
and eco-friendly design practices. The data were analysed
using both descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and
inferential (Pearson correlation and linear regression)
statistics. The findings revealed a significant predictive
effect of AI use on the capacity to apply sustainable design
practices (β = .61, p
< .01) and a strong positive relationship between AI adoption and entrepreneurial
readiness (r=.67, p < .01). These results demonstrated how AI tools like digital
sketching, virtual prototyping, and predictive analytics can revolutionise
innovation and green entrepreneurship. The study, which was guided by
Schumpeter's Innovation Theory, showed that students' perceptions of the utility
and usability of AI tools influenced the integration of AI in fashion education,
which in turn encouraged creativity and "creative destruction." The ability of
young people to engage in eco-conscious fashion entrepreneurship was found to be
greatly enhanced by customised AI-driven interventions. In order to enhance
sustainable development through creative enterprise, the study suggested policy
support, capacity building, and the integration of AI literacy..

Abstract:This study examined the Impact of Health Education
Programmes on Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Incidence of Infectious Diseases
in Taraba State, Nigeria. The focus of the study was to examine how health
education impacts residents’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to
health, as well as its effect on the occurrence of infectious diseases. To achieve
this, a descriptive survey design was employed, drawing data from 300 adult
participants across Wukari, Gassol, and Jalingo Local Government Areas through a
multistage sampling process. Information was gathered using a well-structured
questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, with a Cronbach’s
alpha coefficient of 0.85. Descriptive statistics, chi-square and regression
analyses were used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Findings
revealed that health education programmes significantly improved the knowledge,
attitudes and practices of residents regarding disease prevention. The chi-square
analysis (χ² = 42.317, p = .000) confirmed a significant association. Similarly,
regression results (R² = 0.377, p = .000) showed that health education had a
meaningful influence on reducing the incidence of infectious diseases. These
results indicate that effective health education plays a critical role in
promoting behavioral change and reducing disease burden in Taraba State. The study
concludes that health education is essential for public health improvement. It
recommends that health education programmes be strengthened and integrated into
broader disease control strategies for long-term impact in the region.

Abstract:The impact of alcohol consumption on the liver and
kidney functions remains a critical area of investigation, particularly concerning
oxidative stress-induced damage. This study examines the effects of chronic
alcohol exposure on the liver and kidney tissues of adult male Sprague-Dawley rats
and evaluates the potential protective role of glutathione, a key antioxidant.
Rats were divided into control, alcohol-exposed, and alcohol-exposed with
glutathione supplementation groups. Chronic alcohol administration was used to
induce oxidative stress, and glutathione was administered to assess its protective
effects. Biochemical assays were conducted to measure markers of liver and kidney
injury, including serum transaminases, creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen (BUN).
Additionally, histopathological examination of liver and kidney tissues was
performed to assess structural damage. The results demonstrated significant
increase (p
<0.05) in liver and kidney injury markers in alcohol-exposed rats, accompanied by
histopathological alterations such as hepatocellular necrosis and renal tubular
degeneration. However, glutathione supplementation attenuated these changes,
reducing oxidative stress and mitigating organ damage. These findings highlight
the detrimental effects of alcohol on kidney and liver function and suggest that
glutathione may serve as a potential therapeutic agent for protecting against
alcohol-induced organ toxicity.

Abstract:This study examined the prospects of information and
communication technology in teaching and learning writing skills. The world is
globally connected through ICT, hence the need to implement it in schools. Tools,
such as word processing software, online writing platforms and digital feedback
systems, influence students’ writing performance. The study affirms that ICT can
positively function in teaching and learning writing skills, sentence and
paragraph development by providing opportunities for collaborative learning,
instant feedback and self –assessment, however, challenges such as, digital
distractions and lack of access to technology have been observed. It recommended
that, teachers should create their instruction using diverse interesting ICT
materials and expose learners to friendly ICT environment. In conclusion, the
paper emphasized the need for effective integration of ICT in writing instruction
for better performance

Abstract:This study examines how Afikpo people in Ebonyi State,
Nigeria, view women, paying special emphasis to traditional gender roles, land
ownership, and sociocultural engagement. Because inheritance rights are passed
down through the male line, women in Afikpo are typically excluded from
discussions, land inheritance, and decision-making procedures. Despite their
substantial contributions to home economies, agriculture, and communal life, women
are not allowed to buy or sell land due to cultural constraints, and male elders
continue to be the only ones who may settle disputes. These behaviors
institutionalize gender inequity and support male control over resources. Using
historical, anthropological, and sociological viewpoints, the study places these
practices within larger Igbo cultural traditions and examines how long-standing
traditions maintain communal cohesiveness while also maintaining female
marginalization. The study also looks at the expanding impact of modern forces
that oppose patriarchal systems and progressively create new avenues for women's
engagement, such as gender activism, education, and legislative reforms. The
results show that although educated groups and younger generations are becoming
more supportive of women's rights, traditional beliefs are still firmly held,
requiring many women to balance traditional expectations with contemporary
chances. The study comes to the conclusion that comprehending how people in Afikpo
view women necessitates a nuanced strategy that strikes a balance between the
pressing need for gender parity and traditional preservation. It emphasizes the
need for ongoing discussions between tradition and reform, highlighting the part
that educators, legislators, and community leaders may play in changing
perceptions of women while upholding cultural identity.

Abstract:Beyond his Gospel, John's theological and ethical
contributions can be found in the Book of Revelation and his epistles (1, 2, and 3
John). These works emphasize moral values like love, truth, tenacity, and
spiritual discernment while offering a comprehensive theological framework focused
on Christology, divine love, the Holy Spirit, and eschatology. John's Christology
presents Jesus as the victorious Lamb who defeats sin and evil, confirming His
divinity, preexistence, and redeeming purpose. Love is portrayed as the
distinguishing feature of both God's character and Christian discipleship, making
it a central theological and ethical subject. John's teachings center on the
function of the Holy Spirit in assisting believers, especially in distinguishing
between truth and deceit. The contrast between truth and falsity, light and
darkness, emphasizes the significance of John's writings ethically support
resistance to erroneous teachings, solidarity within the church community, and
selfless compassion. In addition to being a theological requirement, the command
to love others is presented as a practical ethical requirement that calls on
Christians to show their love via their deeds. The epistles and Revelation both
emphasize the need of Christians maintaining their faith, particularly in the face
of hardship and persecution. John's theology is still very applicable today when
dealing with issues like moral compromise, disinformation, and divisiveness. While
his teachings on discernment offer a framework for assessing truth claims in an
era of disinformation, his emphasis on compassion promotes social harmony.
Perseverance is encouraged by the eschatological vision in Revelation, which
provides hope and certainty of God's ultimate justice. In the end, John's
theological and ethical framework still serves as a guide for Christian faith and
practice today, offering crucial guidelines for resolving moral and spiritual
dilemmas.

Abstract:Drawing on important scriptural foundations, the study
highlights how passages like Genesis 1 and 2 establish humanity’s identity in the
Imago Dei, affirming dignity, responsibility, and the calling to steward creation.
These chapters reveal that work, creativity, and community were part of God’s
original design, situating human purpose within both relational and vocational
dimensions. This article examines the biblical concept of purpose as a theological
framework that transcends secular understandings of self-fulfillment and
achievement. Next, the requirement of dominion in Genesis 1:28, which is explained
to mean stewardship and accountability rather than exploitation, is examined.
God's nature is reflected in true dominion, which demands leadership characterized
by kindness, justice, and service. The essay goes on to discuss how sin caused a
disruption in purpose, severing humanity's relationship with God, and how Christ
made it possible for things to be restored. Since closeness to the Creator enables
believers to align with His eternal design, a relationship with God is
demonstrated to be essential to regaining significance. Furthermore,
identification in Christ is explored as the basis for negotiating human systems,
allowing Christians to participate in politics, economy, and culture without being
influenced by distortions from the outside world. In the end, the dominion mandate
is recast as a spiritual and cultural mission that includes global discipleship
and stewardship of creation. As part of God's redeeming mission, believers are
called to live in obedience, creativity, and service, according to the article's
conclusion. Biblically interpreted purpose is relational, communal, and
transformative.

Abstract:With a focus on Anambra State, this article explores
the emergence of Okite, or ritual rapid money earning, in Igbo society. It places
Okite in the context of historical change, media influence, and inequality and
sets it apart from earlier communal rites that aimed for prosperity for the
wellbeing of all. It does this by combining social scientific analysis with a
theological interpretation of 1 Timothy 6:10. The study, which is informed by the
theories of moral decay and social disarray, views Okite as a sign of
institutional failure and value degradation that is exacerbated by social media,
poverty, unemployment, and peer pressure. It charts common modalities such as
occult groups, the employment of charms, potions, and mystical ceremonies, as well
as rituals involving human sacrifice and blood. Fragmented families and a decline
in public trust, an increase in violent crime, a distortion of legitimate markets
that penalize honest activity, dread in the business environment, and
psychological problems like guilt, paranoia, and anxiety are just a few of the
documented repercussions. The biblical teaching on patient labor and stewardship
provides an alternative ethic, whereas 1 Timothy 6:10 theologically characterizes
the love of money as a corrupting passion that diverts people from spiritual
integrity. The state, civic, religious, and traditional sectors are all affected
by policy and practice. Stronger investigation and prosecution, focused public
awareness campaigns, and youth-centered financial, entrepreneurial, and skills
initiatives are suggested remedies. Religious organizations ought to improve
deliverance care, counseling, moral instruction, and discipleship. With the
support of penalties and oath-based accountability, traditional leaders should
restate the Igbo principles of integrity, group responsibility, and respect for
life. The study comes to the conclusion that stopping Okite necessitates a
comprehensive plan that links rebuilding with cultural roots, legal deterrent, and
economic opportunities..

Abstract:The paper discussed the Christian education curriculum
as a tool for effective pastoral counseling for intending couples. The work
exposed the need for a curriculum that is Christ-centered, Bible-based, and life
applied for effective premarital counseling in the present-day society, as there
is an increasing rate of divorce, separation, verbal abuse, and domestic violence
among couples, which has its source in a lack of proper education and counseling
prior to the period of marriage. From a pastoral care perspective, the author
discussed the overview of Christian education Curriculum, concepts of Christian
education and pastoral counseling, the necessity for Pastoral counseling to
intending Couples, causes of ineffective Pastoral counseling, and prescribed a
curriculum for effective Pastoral counseling for the Intending Couples. The paper
used the Solution-focused theory as the theoretical framework and concludes that
if intending couples are exposed to premarital counseling, couples will have an
exciting marriage and drastically reduced divorce.

Abstract:This study examined the impact of high education costs
on tertiary institution students' enrollment in Plateau State, Nigeria. It
investigated how rising education costs affected student enrollment patterns. The
study adopted a cross-sectional research design, enabling an empirical analysis of
the correlation between education costs and enrollment trends in tertiary
institutions within the state. The population consisted of 2,339 students and
administrative staff across eight tertiary institutions, with a sample size of 342
determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. A structured questionnaire, Impact of High
Education Cost on Enrollment of Students in Tertiary Institutions in Plateau State
Questionnaire (IHECESTIPSQ), was employed for data collection, alongside a
proforma to analyze enrollment trends from 2014 to 2024. The questionnaire
consisted of 25 items structured on a 5-point Likert scale. Validity was
established through expert review, while reliability was confirmed using the
Cronbach Alpha method. Data collection was facilitated by trained research
assistants, ensuring a 100% return rate. The study’s findings provided insights
into the extent to which financial constraints influenced students' access to
tertiary education, offering recommendations to policymakers and educational
stakeholders on addressing affordability challenges in higher education..

Abstract:Adolescence is a transitional stage in human
development that occurs at puberty into adulthood. Contemporarily, is marked with
early social and sexual exposures that result to health, psycho-social, and
economic problems. An alarming number of adolescents are actively involved in
premarital sexual practices, which negatively results to reproductive health
challenges. This study determined the forms and prevalence premarital sexual
practices among secondary school students in Mayo-Belwa L.G.A, Adamawa State,
Nigeria. Quantitative and qualitative method of data collection was adopted for
the achievement of the study objectives. Quantitatively, through
self-administration of 400 semi-structured and pre-tested questionnaires, a
multi-stage sampling technique was used in selecting study participants, and data
were analyzed descriptively. Qualitative data was generated through Focus Group
Discussions (FGDs) and In-Depth Interviews (IDIs) among 106 purposively selected
participants and analyzed thematically. Among the 395 returned responses’ during
questionnaire survey, more than a half 206 (52.2%) were females and 189 (47.8%)
were males. The prevalence of premarital sexual intercourse had an alarming rate
of 273 (69.1%), as 187 (47.3%) had been exposed for about 1–2 times, as 86 (21.8%)
had three or more times. 41 (10.4%) had anal sex, 76 (19.2%) had had oral sex, and
305 (77.2%) had ever masturbated. Among the 206 female respondents, 18.0% had
practiced genital rubbing. Conclusively, the prevalence of sexual intercourse and
masturbation practices are high; couple with other forms of sexual practices.
Therefore, the study recommends that there should be sensitization to inculcate
abstinence and chastity, provide adolescents with the right decision making
skills, and with reproductive health education. .

Abstract:This study examines the design and implementation of an
Online Result Clearance System (ORCS) for the Federal College of Education,
Pankshin, as a solution to the inefficiencies of the existing manual clearance
process. The manual system is characterized by delays, human error, and
administrative bottlenecks that hinder timely student clearance and graduation.
Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from key administrative
departments and students to identify challenges associated with the current system
and assess the feasibility of digital transformation. Findings revealed that the
adoption of an online clearance system would enhance administrative efficiency,
promote transparency, and improve data accuracy. However, the study also
identified key challenges such as cyber security risks, infrastructural
limitations and inadequate ICT skills among users. The proposed ORCS model
integrates all clearance units’ academic departments, bursary, library, and
student affairs into a centralized web-based platform for real-time verification
and approval. The study concludes that implementing the system would significantly
improve institutional service delivery and student satisfaction, provided that
necessary technical and training supports are established. Recommendations were
made for gradual system deployment, staff capacity building, and continuous
evaluation to ensure sustainability and security. .
